Welcoming Mature Learners to Laurier Brantford is designed to help mature and/or college transfer students prepare for the rigors of a university education, feel confident about their learning skills, and connect with other mature learners.

Based on research into the factors that influence mature students' success in postsecondary education, this program covers specific strategies that students can apply to enhance their learning, studying, and writing, which will help them be successful in their transition to becoming Laurier Brantford students.

In this small group format, students will have the opportunity to discuss expectations about:

- learning from lectures

- reading effectively

- researching for papers

- writing essays

- preparing for exams

The program fee is $100 (plus HST) and includes refreshments during the evening sessions and lunch on the final day.

Spaces are limited!
